How to make money with your blog!

In this blog I am going to explain how you can make money from your blog.

In an earlier blog I gave you the information about how to start your blog for free! Hopefully that helped you with starting your own blog and have you maybe already realized your first blog online? Did you enjoy the process and you've started to write more easily?

Now that you are in a flow of writing and working on your blog and have the feeling you could continue doing this, you might wonder how you can start with making money with your blog? Good question from an entrepreneur in the making!
If you are one of the lucky ones and immediately have zillions of visitors to your site, Google AdSense might be the way to go. Because of your visitors you will be an interesting party for them to team up with. Good for you by the way! If this one is for you, go to google.com/adsense and register there to participate to their program.

But if you are like most of us, you have to be a little more creative and work smarter to turn your blog in a money making endeavour.
One way to turn your blog into a passive income site, is to promote products or services that are related to the blogs you post. For example if you write about your pet dog, it might be interesting to promote dog related products. Don’t fall in the trap to promote cat products or other animal products as you are writing specific about your dog and most likely will only attract people who are interested in dogs.

Note: this business model is called Affiliate Marketing!

Okay this maybe sounds like something you could do. So where can you find products to promote?

How to find products to promote?

Let’s continue with the example of the blog about the dog.

You can google: dogs + affiliate program and see what comes up: In my search I see many results. I go to the site www.dog.com to see what they offer. Look at the conditions of becoming an affiliate. You can apply for their program and once approved you will get a link(hoplink) that you can use in your blog. Once someone clicks on that link and buys the product you will get a commission.

Okay that sounds doable, don’t you think? You create blogs about your favourite pet and then organically write about a product that made your life so much easier or helped you out in a big way!

Another way to find products is to go to clickbank.com or digistore24.com.
When you are on clickbank.com or digistore24.com, sign up first!
After that you will go to the marketplace. In this example I searched for dog related products.

The first one sounds interesting to me as it relates to that blog about the dog, so generate your hoplink. You can see in the hoplink that you can make a commission of 75%. That sounds good, doesn’t it? Copy this hoplink , so you can use it on your blog.

How to use a hoplink?.

Don’t spam your hoplink on your site or on other places.
Just look at your blog and where would it be natural to link readers to that product as you organically are working up to that offer. It must read as naturally as can be, so it makes sense you are mentioning this.
Let’s say you are talking about training your dog and you could swift naturally to this awesome puppy training course. Add your hoplink to that text, so if your audience is interested they will click on it.
Just be creative and put it on a natural place that makes sense. Don’t put too many links in one blog as this might look too much of a commercial venture and you reader will be put off.
