You are ready to start blogging and want to find a simple way of starting, so you can start writing those blogs that you are just dying to share with the rest of us. You are new in the online scene and want to start for free, so you can get a feel how it all works and if this is really want you want to do.

In my opinion there are 2 ways of starting your blog for free.

Let's start with option 1 : Google sites!

This is an easy way to start with your blog. Use your google account and go to google sites. You have the option to start from scratch or use the template gallery to get you started.

If you start from scratch, there are easy templates and on the right side you have all the tools to customize your site. Or you can use the template gallery and find a template to get you started.

When you need specific pictures for your site, you can go to pexels.com. There you can find royalty free stock photos to pimp your blog.

Positive is that google sites is owned… yes you guessed it by Google. So if your blog offers value information and the SEO’s are right, you have a good chance that Google will put your blog higher on the given options on a google search.

The only downside I can think of is that you don't have a domain, so if you want to be taken seriously as a blogger, you might want to consider option number 2.

Option number 2: Groove.cm

This one is my favorite as you can start this one for free as well! I use this for this blog and as a non tech person, it was easy for me to make.

Groove.cm has a free membership that gives you the opportunity to start your own customized blog as they have a blog template and with it comes various options.

Before you post your blog, they have an incredible tool that makes it easy for you to add keywords, metadata and other behind the scene things to make you stand out in search engines. <Wow>

If you want a personal domain, you have to buy that domain though. With a free account, the hosting on groove.cm is free for up to one website or blog on Groove.cm.

If you like to buy your own domain you can get that for a very competitive price at namecheap.com.

Besides the free blog, there are a few extras that make this one stand out. Like, for example, you can start an ecommerce store with low fees or send up to 2500 emails per month. As a beginner this is such a fantastic way of starting as a blogger and see if you want to do this more professionally.

No matter how you get started with your blog there are a few things to keep in mind:
