Side Hustle Ideas
What type of online business are you going to pursue?
You have figured out that you want to start an online business. You know your WHY and have that motivation close by. Now the next big question is going to be: “What type of online business am I going to start?”
Do you want to start a side hustle to make some dollars on the site? Or do you want to start an online business that could replace your 9-to-5 job? Also do you have a budget to start your online business or do you want to start with no initial costs?
I will give you some ideas about what type of online business you can pursue. At the end of this blog I have a bonus you do not want to miss.
Let start with side hustles that are easy to start and have low to none starting costs:
1. Print on demand
What is print on demand. You design a print for a t-shirt(or other printable products
like mugs, tank tops or bags) and place it on a print on demand site, like amazon or
teespring.com. Once somebody ordered your product, Amazon or teespring.com
will print it, ship it and handles all the other transactions. You will receive a
commission from that sale. You have to be creative and this is an online business
you can start immediately without costs. There are free design programs that can
help you with designing your prints. I recommend Canva.com as they have a free
membership . With this free account you can design all the prints you could think
off!
2. KDP Amazon
You have written your own eBook or you are good at making planners? KDP
Amazon is a good way to go to get that published. It works the same as the print
on demand t-shirts. You upload your eBook and once somebody ordered your
product. Amazon will print it, ship it and handles all the others transactions. You
will receive a commission from that. Make sure when you are uploading your
digital products to give them the rights SEO, so you can be found among all the
other digital products.
This side hustle is also for those who are creative and there are no initial costs.
3. Start a YouTube channel
This one is an easy one to start. Find your niche that you are interested in, make a
channel with a catchy channel name and start making those videos. Pexels.com
can help you with free to use pictures and no attribution is needed. There is an
awesome free editing program, called Davinci Resolve, that can help you with
editing those videos. And if you are looking for royalty free music, the YouTube
audio library is the place where you can find those sounds that make your videos
amazing and hopefully stand out. Don’t forget to add those hashtags to your video,
as you want the algorithm to push your videos forward to the right audience.
Is one on the above a side hustle you could start?
These ones are easy to start from the comfort of your own house and won’t break the bank while doing so!

If you have some budget to start your online business then maybe you will find your business model in the next three side hustle ideas.
4. Start a blog
You can find free ways to do so, like google sites or my favourite GrooveBlog as
they have a free membership to get you started.
Or if you have some starting money, claim your own domain and design your own
website. The latter is a great one to start building your authority and will add value
to you online business.
Once you draw in a crowd you can start with ads or maybe promote products that
matches your blogging niche. It is a slower way to make a living as you first have
to create content and use the right SEO techniques to get noticed by Google.
5. Sell your own products through Etsy or Pinterest
First of all you have to design and produce your own products that you can sell.
You have to keep those products in stock and don’t forget those production
cost. You also have to handle the shipping of those products and manage the
customer service.
It is possible though to design digital products and sell those in your online shops.
6. Dropshipping
Maybe you have never heard about dropshipping, so let me first explain what that
is.
With dropshipping you are selling products. When someone buys, you give that
order to the supplier and they will ship it, to your customers.
It’s a risky business as you have no control over the products and that they are
delivered on time. And you have to know what you are doing, else this could go
wrong quickly as you are responsible for the delivery and customer service.
7. Affiliate Marketing
With affiliate marketing you promote other people’s products and when you refer
somebody to that company and when they buy something, you will get a small
commission. Most of the affiliate marketing is done through social media, like
Tiktok, Pinterest of Instagram. It helps if you have your own website as you want
to start collecting those emails of potential customers, so you can do a follow up
with an email automation sequence.
And the best thing of this business model is, you don’t have to keep a stock, deal
with shipping or do other customer service.
Well for now these were my ideas for side hustles. Hopefully you found your business model you want to start and you decide to take action in starting that online business.
